A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?” A student bravely replied, “Yes he did!” “God created everything?” The professor asked.“Yes sir, he certainly did,” the student replied. The professor answered, “If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil.”The student became quiet and did not respond to the professor’s hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth. Another student raised his hand and said, “May I ask you a question, professor?” “Of course”, replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, “Professor, does cold exist?” “What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?” The other students snickered at the young man’s question. The young man replied, “In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.” The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?” The professor responded, “Of course it does.” The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton’s prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.” Finally the young man asked the professor, “Sir, does evil exist?” Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.” To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.” The professor sat down. The young man’s name — Albert Einstein A true story. |
Yes, I’m overwhelming ya’ll with posts today. My apologies. I’ve been diligently working on this computer ALL DAY LONG trying to get caught up. And yay, I am! At least for a few days. I had to cancel yet another session today because of this wonderful weather, so I had ample time to work on things I was behind on.
Anyway, these are a few favorites from a recent session I had with a beautiful family. I’m looking forward to Harper’s 9month pictures! Hope ya’ll enjoy!
Grace & peace…

Yay! I finally got Marlea to smile for the camera! With a little help, of course, from my two best girls… Conley & Carson. Marlea celebrated her first birthday on Valentine’s Day. They do grow up fast don’t they? Hope ya’ll enjoy!
Grace & Peace…

What a sweet little family! And this little girl loves her big brother! I had a great time photographing them, only little Chloe didn’t want to participate much in the “group” photos. We managed to get a few though. Hope ya’ll enjoy!

Grace & Peace…

I had the most fun photographing these kids! They were so full of personality! It turned out to be a beautiful day, which was nice considering all the rain we’ve had lately. Anyway, these are a few of my favorites. Hope ya’ll enjoy…
“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete and fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.” – Matthew 5:9 (This interpretation of scripture is from my new bible, “The Message”. If you don’t have one, get one! It’s awesome. It’s like a bible for idiots! haha!)
Grace & Peace…

My apologies for no posting the past couple of weeks! I have a lot on my plate right now and my work has just been piling up around me.
My daddy is going to be having PTE surgery in San Diego on March 12th. He has a calcified blood clot about the size of a half dollar coin in his pulmonary artery and it is having a serious affect on his over all health. The ONLY place they are experienced with this type of surgery is at UCSD in San Diego. These doctors appointments have been going on since before Christmas and we are finally getting to get out there for surgery in March. I would like to ask all of you to please be praying for this trip and everything it involves. It will be a three week stay from beginning to end. My three brothers and I will all be traveling out to San Diego at some point during this. Myself traveling out twice… and I absolutely hate to fly. I feel very confident about the surgery and I know God is going to take care of everything. But my nerves aren’t really agreeing with me on that!
Having said that, I will be in San Diego from March 3-7 and again from March 18-25. I will be working as much as I can while I’m out there. I’m so behind on my sessions right now, hopefully I’ll use that time to catch up somewhat.
Now! About Tony! This guy is such an awesome man of God. He is truly a blessing to be around and I know God has great things planned for his future. Hope ya’ll enjoy…
